Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Cardier ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses and shares information about you when you use the CARDIER application, website and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

The short version:We collect only what we need. We never ask for your bank credentials. We never sell your data. Your spending profile stays on your device unless you explicitly back it up. We're a tool that works for you, not one that monetises you.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you use CARDIER you may choose to provide:

  • Your email address, if you join our waitlist or create an account;
  • The credit cards you hold and their approximate usage patterns (dining frequency, travel frequency, etc.);
  • Preferences and settings within the application.

CARDIER does not ask for, and is not designed to receive, your bank account credentials, full card numbers, PINs, passwords or any information that would allow us to initiate transactions on your behalf.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Service we may automatically collect:

  • Device information (device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers);
  • Usage data (screens viewed, features used, time spent in the application);
  • Crash reports and performance diagnostics;
  • IP address and approximate geographic region (country or city level).

Information we do not collect. We do not collect:

  • Your bank account or brokerage account credentials;
  • Full credit card numbers or security codes (CVV/CVC);
  • Your actual transaction history or spending data from financial institutions;
  • Any biometric data.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, personalise and improve the Service;
  • Calculate benefit values and surface relevant credits based on your stated usage patterns;
  • Send you notifications and alerts about expiring credits (if you opt in);
  • Respond to your questions and support requests;
  • Monitor and analyse usage trends to improve performance and reliability;
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and comply with legal obligations.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, ever. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. We work with third-party vendors (e.g., cloud infrastructure, analytics, customer support tools) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements;
  • Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of CARDIER, our users or the public;
  • Business transfers. If CARDIER is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Data Storage & Retention

Your wallet configuration and spending profile are stored locally on your device by default. If you enable cloud backup, a copy is stored on our secure servers using AES-256 encryption in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@cardier.app.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • Request deletion of your personal information;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your information;
  • Request portability of your information in a structured, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@cardier.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and, where appropriate, notifying you via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CARDIER's application, website and services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Key points:CARDIER is an informational tool, not a financial adviser. Benefit values shown are estimates. We don't hold your money, initiate transactions, or guarantee any specific financial outcome. Use the Service to inform your decisions — not replace them.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you are at least 18 and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

Description of Service

CARDIER is a personal finance companion that helps you track and maximise the credits, perks and benefits offered by premium credit cards you already hold. The Service:

  • Displays publicly available benefit information for supported credit cards;
  • Estimates the value of benefits based on usage patterns you provide;
  • Surfaces expiring credits and personalised recommendations;
  • Does not connect to financial institutions, initiate transactions, or access your account balances.

Account Registration

Some features of the Service require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update that information to keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Service;
  • Scrape, crawl or use automated means to extract data from the Service;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion or feature of the Service;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or any related systems.

Subscription & Billing

CARDIER offers a free tier and a paid "Pro" subscription. Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Intellectual Property

The Service and all content, features and functionality thereof — including but not limited to all text, graphics, logos, software and interfaces — are owned by Cardier Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

Third-party names, logos and trademarks referenced in the Service (such as card issuer names) are the property of their respective owners. Their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those parties.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARDIER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND ACCURACY OF INFORMATION.

Benefit values shown in the Service are estimates derived from publicly available card benefit information and your stated usage patterns. They are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, investment or legal advice. Actual benefit values may vary. Always verify benefit terms directly with your card issuer.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CARDIER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF CARDIER HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. CARDIER'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CARDIER IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be submitted to informal negotiation. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, it shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
